About CREATEtures
Artists Kyla Yager (she/her) and Mirka Loiselle (she/they) are creative collaborative creatures, also known as CREATEtures. Since meeting at the Gerrard Art Crawl in January 2023, they have been collaborating art styles, running events, and have started an artist collective. The two initially connected based on their roles as children's art instructors and leader's in their field. As creative business partners, Mirka and Kyla hope to help artists connect with one another, find their creative soulmates, and build community through creativity and collaboration.
Kyla Yager (she/her) is a Toronto based, New Orleans bred visual artist who creates Intuitive ADHD Artwork. She utilizes here neurodivergence and mental health to guide her paintbrush, creating hyper detailed abstracted realities. Having created artwork since early childhood, Kyla received her BFA from York University in 2018, launched her art business in January 2020, and completed the Fineline Business Accelerator program in July 2023. She strives to cultivate community and create intentional space for neurodivergence in the fine art world.
Mirka Loiselle (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist and arts educator, primarily working in drawing and painting media. Their artwork straddles the boundary between abstraction and illustration, and is firmly rooted in pleasure, curiosity, and a tongue-in-cheek exploration of all the weird and wonderful things our bodies and brains are capable of.
